Andrea represents and advises business clients in commercial disputes involving employment, product liability, and other issues. She has particular expertise in litigation involving the design and manufacture of consumer goods, including automotive components, power tools, electrical equipment, and lawn-and-garden equipment. She also works with clients in the retail, healthcare, and service industries. Andrea has appeared before state and federal courts, in Massachusetts, throughout New England, and beyond, in cases involving catastrophic injuries and significant property damage. She has established productive long-term working relationships with a number of clients through representing them in litigation spanning several years and multiple jurisdictions. In her employment-law practice, Andrea serves both as adviser and advocate. She provides training and counsels business clients on developing robust workplace policies and practices to minimize risk of litigation. She drafts employment and severance agreements and other work-related documents. When litigation arises, Andrea defends clients, in court and before administrative boards, against allegations of discrimination, sexual harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and other related wrongs. Throughout her years of practice, Andrea has maintained a steadfast commitment to pro bono work. For years she has been responsible for the firm’s longtime representation of a national civil-rights organization in a housing discrimination matter. And she has advocated for a high school teacher disciplined for political speech, and acted on behalf of a high school student in need of special-education services. |
